Leadership & Business Principals!

Facing the Facts

There are 2 kinds of Facts that we need to Face.

1. Quantitative Facts - Facts relating to measurement of quantity. Numbers.
2. Qualitative Facts - Facts involving comparisons based on quality, character and conditions.

It is our responsibility to go fact finding as an investigator would look for facts to solve a case. A great way to go about this is by asking questions. A question will act as a heat-seeking missile. It will open up the heart and search through until it finds the answer it is looking for. We need to ask questions and listen carefully for the answers. Jesus constantly asked questions while he was here on the earth. He asked people:

Why are you afraid?
Which is easier?
Do you believe?
Will you give me a drink?
Why are you thinking these things?
Why did you doubt?
Who do you say I am?
What are you arguing with them about?
What do you want me to do for you?
What do you think, Simon?
Whose face is on the coin?
And much more!

The reason for these questions is to allow the people involved to find the answers for themselves. This is key in leading yourself and others. John Maxwell said, Leaders know the way, go the way and show the way! If you do not know something you ask questions to find the answers. Once you know the answers, you apply them. After you apply them and see the results you can now help others know, go and show them the way. Jesus did not just barge in and start preaching and shouting and demanding and telling! He asked and waited to see what others would say. He than would ask again and lead the people to the answers. We would be in much better shape, in every area of life, if we would just ask a few more questions to gather as much information and facts as possible before we move forward.

Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How can answer a lot of potential headaches, problems and energy and emotional draining situations.

Here are some general questions we can use to help us discover some important facts:

What is the purpose?
What is the mission statement?
What is the vision?
Who is the head of this ministry or position?
Who am I doing this for?
When will I be able to commit to this?
What will this do to impact people?
How will this hurt people?
How will this get done?
What does God want?
How does this match up with His plan?
When will this take place?
Where will this take place?
How much will this cost?
How long will this take?
What is my back up plan if it does not work the way it is supposed to?
Where do we go from here?
What are we going to do?
Why did it not work?
Why do we do it this way?
Why don t we try it another way?
What was supposed to happen?
What actually happened?
What can we learn from this?
How can we fix this?
How can we avoid going down this path again?
How would God deal with this?
What are your thoughts?
Do you have anything to add?
Do you see anything in this that could go wrong?
How would you respond to this?
How do you think this can work?
Where did we fall short?
What are the chances of this failing?
Did we look at every angle possible?
Did we overlook anything?

These questions can be used in a number of situations, circumstances and decision-making moments. Once we have done our evaluation now we can fix, correct and adjust the necessary areas we have discovered through education.

Education: To provide with knowledge or training in a particular area or for a particular purpose.

The great aim of education is not knowledge but action.

Herbert Spencer

Once we receive the knowledge and information we gather we are to than act correspondingly on the understood knowledge to make the necessary changes found in our evaluation. This is true education.

Knowledge + Corresponding Action = Education.

When we are truly educated in an area we are no longer ignorant in that area. So in order for us to move forward towards Success, Growth and better results we will need to be educated in some areas.

Start With the End in Mind

When you begin your journey with the end in mind it will affect not only where you end up, but also the condition you are in when you get there and after you arrive. I live in New Jersey. New Jersey in January can be extremely cold. If I am going to be taking a trip in the month of January to St. Lucia in the Caribbean Islands I am going to begin with the end in mind while I am preparing for my trip there. Even though I would need to wear long sleeved, sweatshirts, sweaters and winter clothes to keep me warm in New Jersey, I am not going to pack the same way for St. Lucia. Where I am going affects the way I pack my clothes and prepare myself.

A runner also begins with the end in mind. When he enters a race he has his sights set on the finish line. However, when a runner enters a race, he does so with the intentions of not just making it to the finish line but making it to the finish line first. The preparation for this race will not determine whether he finishes the race or not, rather what place he is in when he finishes the race. How you value the end of something will determine the level of preparations and contributions you give to that matter. I did not realize this principal while I was younger. I knew there was going to be an end to high school but I never really cared about the condition I would be in at the end. I failed to see the value of the end so I did not do much to apply my best efforts and abilities to affect the condition of my graduation. So instead of finishing with stellar grades and above average accomplishments, I performed below average and did the minimum requirements needed to just barely graduate.

Preparation time is just as important as graduation time. Now a few years later when I went to Bible school I began to see the value of not only finishing something, but also what condition am I in when I finish something. This time around I started not only with the end in mind, which was graduation time, but the condition I wanted to be in at graduation time. So instead of preparing for below average results to graduate with the bare minimum requirements needed to walk down the aisle, I prepared, studied and paid attention with the intentions of graduating above average and with stellar grades. So at the end of Bible school, not only did I graduate, but I graduated with a 4.0.

As a believer this is what faith does! It begins with the end in mind. It states the truth of Gods Word and provision, acts on it and through the vehicle of faith carries it from the realm of the spirit into the natural. So what is the reason for these stories? To illustrate the success achieved based off of this principle no matter what area of life you apply this to. Whether it’s in the work place, in the sale, in training, in your personal life or in any journey you take, as you allow the end to influence your starting point you will achieve great success. Here are some steps to take:

The 1st Step - Define Your End

What is the specific target you are aiming to hit? What is the specific goal you want to achieve?

Leadership Goal  ________________________________________________

Work Related Goal ________________________________________________

The 2nd Step - Set Your Parameters

Clearly lay out the time frame in which you want to achieve this goal. Have a starting point and a deadline.

Leadership Goal  ________________________________________________

Work Related Goal ________________________________________________

The 3rd Step - Count Your Cost

Everything worth having in life costs something. Everything comes with an exchange. What are you willing to exchange? Whether it is money for a product or service, or time for training and instruction. Write down what you have, what you need, what needs to be improved, what needs to be changed and what needs to be removed so you can reach your goals.

Leadership Goal  _______________________________________________

Work Related Goal _______________________________________________

As you apply these steps into your life you will see the end results you desire, reach your end in above average condition and become a success on purpose being a successful Man in the Field!

Preparation Time is Never Lost Time

This is not a bad word. PREPARATION! I once heard someone say regarding preaching, Prepare as if you have no Holy Spirit and preach as if you had no notes. What was he saying? Preparation gives the Holy Spirit more to work with. The more you put in the more can come out! God is not against preparation. He himself believes in it so much that he did it.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

So did Jesus!

John 14:2-3
In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

Preparation simply means you do what is necessary to get ready for an event, time, or purpose, so you can experience the best that each event, time, or purpose has to offer.

Dan O Brien, The will to succeed is nothing without the will to prepare.

Put together a detailed plan of how to maximize your day. Think things through at the beginning of a day, event, situation and circumstance before you act through with your decision. Tell me about how to install a sprinkler system into the lawn? Now if I gave you a day to prepare on how to answer this and do this I bet your explanation will be more thorough, detailed and precise. Preparation is vital to the success we experience in our lives. Here are some steps we can take in preparing ourselves for success in leadership and the workplace:

Accumulate Knowledge

Knowledge is simply the information we need to learn and understand.

Hosea 4:6 (King James Version)

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: My people are cut off, for not learning

So where do we begin in our search for knowledge? No matter what the subject, no matter what the position or what you are wanting to learn if you miss the beginning point of knowledge you will always be without in everything else you learn and know.

Proverbs 1:7 (King James Version)

7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7 (New Life Version)

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of much learning.

Proverbs 1:7 (New Living Translation)

7 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge,

Proverbs 1:7 (Amplified Bible)

7 The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning and the principal and choice part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence];

The fear, the reverence and respect of the Lord is the starting point of knowledge. The fear of the Lord refers to the respect of His Authority and His right to be involved with everything we do in life. This refers to our respect and honor towards the Lord as we approach any subject, situation, area and experience we deal with from this life. Without the fear of the Lord we will not experience the full reward of any knowledge we accumulate in life.

Proverbs 8:13 (Amplified Bible)

13 The reverent fear and worshipful awe of the Lord [includes] the hatred of evil; pride, arrogance, the evil way, and perverted and twisted speech I hate.

Proverbs 9:10 (King James Version)

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 10:27 (King James Version)

27 The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

Proverbs 14:26 (King James Version)

26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge

Proverbs 14:27 (King James Version)

27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Proverbs 19:23 (New Life Version)

23 The fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will sleep well, and will not be touched by sin.

Proverbs 22:4 (King James Version)

4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.

Proverbs 1:29 tells us that they who do not choose the fear of the Lord hate knowledge.

Proverbs 2:6 (Amplified Bible)

6 For the Lord gives skillful and godly Wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

The knowledge that comes from Gods Word will bring us life, blessings, peace and every good thing in this life and the life to come. Knowledge from Gods Word will give us strength, skillful application, ability and power to utilize our abilities to the best we possibly can.

2 Peter 1:2-3 (King James Version)

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

The knowledge of God and Jesus Christ our Lord causes the Grace and peace of God to be multiplied to us. Gods grace is His divine assistance and intervention to enable us to accomplish and do what we could not do in our own ability and strength. Example of Grace: Slam-dunk the basket. Grace is the trampoline that helps you reach what you could not in your own strength and ability. The knowledge of God and Jesus Christ our Lord causes the peace of God to be multiplied to us. Peace is the absence of war or other hostilities. The freedom of disorder. Silence. When we have the knowledge of God and Christ we have this absence of war, hostilities, disorder and chaos flood our souls. We have an inner calmness and silence from the noise and craziness this world offers. Peace is an inner quality that flows out of a right relationship with God. The knowledge of God and Jesus Christ our Lord causes His divine power to give us everything that pertains to life and godliness. Once we have the foundation of Knowledge we are to build on that pertaining to the areas we are in.

Seek to understand first than to be understood! Steven Covey

To understand is to grasp or comprehend the meaning intended, conveyed or expressed by (another). How can you effectively do your job right if you do not understand how to do it? How can you have conversations and communicate with someone if you do not understand the language they are speaking?

Proverbs 16:16 (New King James Version)

16 How much better to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

Proverbs 16:22 (New King James Version)

22 Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it.
But the correction of fools is folly.

To understand is so important and vital to every area of Life!

Proverbs 17:27 (New King James Version)

27 He who has knowledge spares his words,
And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.

Proverbs 19:8 (New King James Version)

8 He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good.

Proverbs 13:15 (New King James Version)

15 Good understanding gains favor,
But the way of the unfaithful is hard

Pray for your understanding to be enlightened!

Ephesians 1:18 (New King James Version)

18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Ask for Wisdom not Money!

Wisdom is skillful application of understood knowledge!

Proverbs 2:6 (New King James Version)

6 For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;

He is the Source of all of it!

Proverbs 4:7 (New King James Version)

7 Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore
get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.

Proverbs 8:11 (New King James Version)

11 For wisdom is better than rubies,
And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.

James 1:5 (New King James Version)

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

1 Kings 3:5-13 (New Living Translation) 5 That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you! 6 Solomon replied, You showed faithful love to your servant my father, David, because he was honest and true and faithful to you. And you have continued your faithful love to him today by giving him a son to sit on his throne. 7 Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who does not know his way around. 8 And here I am in the midst of your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted! 9 Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours? 10 The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom. 11 So God replied, Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies 12 I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have! 13 And I will also give you what you did not ask for riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life!

Elevation

To elevate is to move or raise to a higher place or position; lift up. To raise to a higher state, rank, or office; exalt; promote.

The end result of Evaluation + Education = Elevation. This is always the result of someone who practices these principles in any area of life. Whether it is the workplace, the sale, the close, life, leadership, management, relationships or anything else this formula will hold true.

Seeds of Success!

Putting the Team Back into Work

Together Everyone Accomplishes More

If we want to go anywhere in any job we have to think in terms of TEAM and Unity! We need one another! We need to realize that we are Tied Together to the people we know and work with. One way or another the people we know are tied to our lives. We all know each other for more than just so we could look at each other.

Ephesians 4:11-14 (New Living Translation) 11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip Gods people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of Gods Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We will not be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

We are all individual parts in the body of Christ. As we all do our part we contribute to the entire functionality of the body. We are 1 Body and many members!

1 Corinthians 12:12-27 (The Message) 12-13 You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts - limbs, organs, cells - but no matter how many parts you can name, you are still one body. It's exactly the same with Christ. By means of his one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain - his Spirit - where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves - labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free - are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive. 14-18 I want you to think about how all this makes you more significant, not less. A body isn't just a single part blown up into something huge. It's all the different-but-similar parts arranged and functioning together. If Foot said, "I'm not elegant like Hand, embellished with rings; I guess I don't belong to this body," would that make it so? If Ear said, "I'm not beautiful like Eye, limpid and expressive; I don't deserve a place on the head," would you want to remove it from the body? If the body was all eye, how could it hear? If all ear, how could it smell? As it is, we see that God has carefully placed each part of the body right where he wanted it. 19-24 But I also want you to think about how this keeps your significance from getting blown up into self-importance. For no matter how significant you are, it is only because of what you are a part of. An enormous eye or a gigantic hand wouldn't be a body, but a monster. What we have is one body with many parts, each its proper size and in its proper place. No part is important on its own. Can you imagine Eye telling Hand, "Get lost; I don't need you"? Or, Head telling Foot, "You're fired; your job has been phased out"? As a matter of fact, in practice it works the other way - the "lower" the part, the more basic, and therefore necessary. You can live without an eye, for instance, but not without a stomach. When it's a part of your own body you are concerned with, it makes no difference whether the part is visible or clothed, higher or lower. You give it dignity and honor just as it is, without comparisons. If anything, you have more concern for the lower parts than the higher. If you had to choose, wouldn't you prefer good digestion to full-bodied hair? 25-26The way God designed our bodies is a model for understanding our lives together as a church: every part dependent on every other part, the parts we mention and the parts we don't, the parts we see and the parts we don't. If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one part flourishes, every other part enters into the exuberance. 27-31You are Christ's body - that's who you are! You must never forget this. Only as you accept your part of that body does your "part" mean anything.

In the workplace or in leadership we are 1 part of a Team effort to accomplish a greater good.

Everybody say UNITY!

What is Unity?

It is the state of being one; a whole or totality as combining all its parts into one. Unification. Oneness of mind, feeling, etc. as among a number of persons.

Agreement, harmony, accord, unison, union, concord

Unity involves You. Everyone say U
Unity involves You and I. Everyone say UNI TY to each other.
Unity involves You and God. Everyone say UNI TY to God.

You are responsible for keeping unity with the people you know. In church, in work in leadership and in every place you set your feet. In Unity is power. It takes strength and courage to fight for Unity wherever you are! What is involved with achieving Unity?

Commitment - The state of being bound emotionally, physically, spiritually or intellectually to a course of action or to another person or persons.

Consistency - agreeing or accordant; compatible; not self-contradictory. Holding firmly together; cohering. Being the same each time. Dependable.

Determination - The act of making or arriving at a decision. A fixed intention or resolution

This will bring Unity.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (New Living Translation) 9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

There is power in unity. One may be strong compared to another one, yet when joined together in unity all the not so strong and the strong become stronger in numbers.

Collect all of the sticks and tie them together.

Everybody Scream out your name on the count of 3. Now everybody scream Jesus on 3.

You are responsible for keeping unity with God. God did everything he is ever going to do for you to have unity with Him. Say I am important. Take the I out of unity and that un tys you from people and God. You are important and have a part in Gods plan and purpose in this earth, your family, workplace and church. As you tie yourself to God, and all those who you are in work with you will be stronger and the company, department an areas you are involved in and over will become stronger. One cup is weak and can only handle so much weight but when you are united together with people you can handle heavier situations, problems and circumstances.

Sharpen Your Skills

I am Too Busy!

Once upon a time a very strong woodcutter asks for a job from a timber merchant, and he got it. The pay was really good and so were the work conditions. For that reason, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.
His boss gave him an axe and showed him the area where he was supposed to work.
The first day, the woodcutter brought 18 trees down.
"Congratulations," the boss said. "Go on that way!"
Very motivated by the bosses words, the woodcutter tried harder the next day, but he only could bring down 15 trees. The third day he tried even harder, but he only could bring down 10 trees. Day after day he was bringing down less and less trees.
"I must be losing my strength", the woodcutter thought. He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.
"When was the last time you sharpened your axe?" the boss asked.
"Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees..."

In this story we can see a lot of parallels to life. We can be likened to the woodcutter. God can be likened to the Boss. The area where the woodcutter works is the place where God has called us in leadership and in he workplace.

What is Our Axe? Our abilities, Our craft, Our skills, Our passion, Our calling, Our gifts, Our talents, Our ministry!
What is the purpose of this Axe?

Everything has a purpose. A purpose is the reason for which something has been created. A purpose is the object and goal toward which one strives for. The purpose of an axe is to cut wood. But what about our AXE! What is the purpose of our AXE? The purpose for our axe is to reach people. God has given us our axe so we can use it for His glory to lead and point people into a relationship with Him. Now this axe is not to destroy people but to help, minister and lead people to Christ. As we use our axe we will need to do a few things: We will need to maintain this axe. We will need to use this axe on a consistent basis. We will need to clean this axe. We will need to sharpen this axe. If we do not use it than we will never need to sharpen, clean and maintain it. But because we use it we have to keep up with these duties.

The Effectiveness of our Axe!

The effectiveness of this axe does not lie within how hard I try while I am using it. Rather, the effectiveness of this axe lies within: The proper use of it. The condition of it. I will not be very effective in chopping down a tree if I am using the wrong end of the axe. If I try harder and still use the wrong end of the axe will I get anywhere? What if I put in a lot of overtime to work on it using the wrong end of the axe, will I be very effective? What if I try until I get blisters and work up a sweat and yell at it, will I be anymore effective? Improper use of the axe will continue to bring ineffective results. In order to have the results be the best they can be, we must learn how to properly use our axe. Everyone say Results! Everything we do is done with the intention to bring a desired result. Our actions, energy, time, money, words, thoughts, ideas, and creativity are all invested into a cause to bring forth a desired result. Results are simply a desirable or beneficial consequence, outcome, or effect. The conclusion and end product of something. Now even though we may not always see the results, we intend to get results.

1 Corinthians 3:6 (Amplified Bible)

6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God [all the while] was making it grow and [He] gave the increase.

We have the responsibility to water and plant. As we do our part God will do His.

He is the one who will give the increase. He will cause the growth. But if we are not doing what we need to do, utilizing every opportunity to water and plant than God will not be able to give the increase. Anything that is healthy and alive grows. It may begin as a small seed but if nurtured, properly treated and cared for we hope to see a full sized tree. After the tree is fully matured and bears its fruit we want that fruit to be used to plant its seed into the surrounding ground to produce a new tree and so on and so forth until we have a Forrest. We want growth! We want increase! We want to advance! We want to add! We want to multiply! We don’t want to be stale, stagnant and going nowhere, with no growth and no chance of going higher. We do not want to decrease. We do not want to be divided! We do not want to lose anything! Do We? This is why we MUST take care of our Axe. We must keep in Mind the condition of our Axe! If its dull, rusted, cracked and loose it will take us longer, with more wasted energy and time to produce little to no results. Now it may produce something in results but definitely no where near the BEST results possible. Even a Broken Clock is right 2 times a day.

Sharpen our AXE?

We need to first realize that we, the people, are the most important element to the success and productivity of accomplishing our purpose in life and to the work place and ministry we belong. Without us the tools, the axe cannot be used. We bring the enthusiasm, ambition, excitement, ideas, creativity, passion and so much more to the place and positions we are in. Stay fresh in studying the knowledge necessary to perform and excel in the areas we are over. Never stop learning!

We are talking about reaching the desired results of success, growth, increase and effectiveness in the areas we have been placed into in leadership and the workplace. Just because you may have all the right equipment does not mean you just run out and start trying to use it. We have to prove it first. There are some people who may have all the right gear but have no knowledge, no understanding or no wisdom of how to effectively use that gear. If we do not have the knowledge, understanding and wisdom of how to and why, we can end up doing more damage and possibly hurt someone than do good and help someone.

Fireman Example

The good that firemen do. They are first responders, put out fires, save lives, respond to disastrous situations. If the fireman does not have proper training in how to stand, how to hold and aim the hose the fireman could do more harm than good and even hurt someone including himself.

Police Officer Example

The good that police officers do. They preserve peace, they protect and serve the people of their community, and they get the bad guys. If the policeman or woman does not go to the range and practice their shot, stance, aim, and the way they are supposed to check their guns they could end up doing more damage than good.

Electrician Example

The good that electricians do. They allow power to flow into the outlets in every place there is a building, they fix power outages, and they allow light, air, electricity to be properly channeled. If the electrician does not get trained on how to cut wires, connect wires, check to see if there are live wires or not they could end up doing more damage than good.

Doctors Example

The good that doctors do. They practice ways to help people get healed, feel better, live better and live longer. If the doctor does not go to school and learn how to diagnose a patient properly, how to look for certain signs to properly diagnose a situation, how to properly operate, stitch and clean incisions they could do more damage than good.

Allow God to come to work WITH YOU! So many times people will leave God outside on the bench until after work. So many times people will ask God to wait in the car until they get back. Let Him be involved at WORK as well as at Church, in your house, in your life, in your leadership and in your relationships!!!! Do not just settle for Good! The enemy of Great is Good! To be good is to be satisfactory in quality, quantity, or degree: reliable; dependable; responsible. To be great is to be unusual or considerable in degree, power, and intensity, wonderful; first-rate; notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding. important; highly significant or consequential. The problem with society is that they have good schools, good companies, good people, and good grades, all to satisfy the average, status quo mentality of the world! Where are the Great schools, Great companies, Great people and Great grades that excel beyond the usual and status quo mentality of this world! Greatness is inside of us to be released into this world. Do not settle for anything less than great! There will always be something trying to keep you average, below average and satisfied with settling for 2nd best. People will tell you, You can not, You wont, You are not able, You are too small, You are too weak, You are not qualified, You are lacking in skills, Its Impossible for you to achieve!

"Most aeronautical engineers will tell you that there is no possible way the bumblebee can fly. His wingspan isn't broad enough, he is too heavy, and his body build makes it impossible for him to fly. Fortunately, the bumblebee doesn't understand aeronautics, so he just goes along and flies anyway!"

Be a bumblebee and just fly anyway! When God is for you No one can be against you! You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! You have the Victory through Jesus Christ! You are a Conqueror and More than A Conqueror through Christ who died for you!

Les Brown "Other people's opinion of you does not have to become your reality."

Harvey Fienstein "Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself."

The definition of something is the concise explanation of the meaning of a word or phrase or symbol. What defines you? In other words, if you could put a definition on yourself, what would it be?What is your definition? What defines you? If you look a word up in the dictionary, you will find the definition of that word next to it so you can clearly see the explanation of that word and what it means. Write down your name and the definition before you leave today. As you focus on making it a habit to evaluate and educate yourself in every area of life you will experience being elevated to new positions, promotions and higher levels of responsibility. As we apply these Principles that we have discussed today we will begin to take steps forward in moving higher in our careers and positions being more effective and living in a higher level of prosperity.
